Trip Reports and Difficult Passes
We do not plan on writing very many trip reports. Usually we just further edit the map after a trip if there is some new information to be collected (new bridge, destroyed bridge, spring locations, etc…).
What we find most useful is a combined trip report + a pass description that uses as much information from other reports as possible (e.g., information on the approaches).
For now, this is what we have compiled:
Chimtarga Pass (part of a loop in the Fann Mountains)
Mura Pass (connecting the Fann Mountains to the Dushanbe area through the western Hisor Mountains)
Kulol-Sangalt Pass (connecting the Varzob/Dushanbe area to Ziddi and Yaghnob through the eastern Hisor Mountains)
Rost Pass (connecting the Yaghnob Valley to Ghuzn in the Zarafshon Valley).
Upper Chapdara Pass (Connecting the Seven Lakes, or Haft Kul, to the rest of the Fann Mountains)
Ti Shakh Pass (connecting the Upper Zarafshon to Dashti Ziyorat and the far upper Yaghnob River, also part of a high loop)
Jindon Pass (connecting the Upper Zarafshon to Dashti Ziyorat and the far upper Yaghnob River, also part of a high loop)
Demnora Pass (connecting the Upper Zarafshon to Dashti Ziyorat and the far upper Yaghnob River, also part of a high loop)
Tarkh Pass (Moghiyon to the Seven Lakes via the Suvashi Gorge)
Beob Pass (Connecting the Zarafshon Valley to Rasht Valley)
Odudi Pass (Rushon/Bartang to Yazghulom Valley)
Baju-Baghu Loop (Bartang back to Bartang)
Jizev-Rozhak Pass (Bartang to Khorugh/Khorog)
